The Summer of Dry Ice
As you may know, way back in 1991 our team started with just Jack and Trina detailing cars here in Cherry Creek. With Jack's 20+ years' experience working around his dad's shop, he got the chance to get hands on with many icons and legends. By the time Jack and Trina started 'Country Club Auto Detailing' they had become well-versed in the nuance of detailing paint. We've continued to keep up with the times and often utilize new techniques on the forefront of detailing technology. Of course, we've chatted about the Dry-Ice process before, this time we'll highlight two recent detailing jobs here in the shop. Join us for the Summer of Dry Ice.
We've now had our Dry-Ice system for about 9 months now, and it's become an absolute favorite tool for Jack. We often find him over in the metal side of the shop, with a car up in the air, blasting decades of dirt and grime out from the underside in his full rubberized suit. While the process is extremely satisfying to watch, it's quite tedious and can take numerous hours. In the end, the dry-ice leaves cars looking absolutely brand-new underneath. We recently dry iced two very different sports cars, but both came out looking absolutely fantastic. First at up was the 2009 Mercedes Benz SL63 AMG.
This one recently got a front bumper repair here in the shop. After a few weeks of enjoying that new front end, the owner felt that the entire underside could also use a bit of attention, so our team set to work.
After we finished up on the Modern Benz we jumped back in time a bit with this recent arrival to the shop. The BMW 3.0CS came in after becoming a stalled project at another local shop. It recently saw the inline 6 get a pretty extensive refresh, but since then the car has not run and has been sitting for a few years. When it came in Jack felt the itch and the dry ice was soon to follow. Before we got into the mechanicals or digging to deep into this classic we let the boss run with it as he cleaned this car just after the Mercedes.
This one ended up cleaning up just as nicely, showing off those clean carbs. Now we'll get back into the mechanical reinstall and make sure that interior is looking just right for the patient owner.
While we always love getting to detail the latest and greatest, we also are passionate about originality and that classic paint, making sure our processes are the most beneficial without taking away any aspect of your classic cruiser. That's going to do it for us today. If you have any questions about the dry-icing service, we ask that you reach out to info@farlandcars.com or give us a call at 303-761-1245. Thanks for stopping by!
