Auction Watch: Mercedes Benz S600

Over the past few months, we've covered quite a few of the Farland Classic Cars moving through auction. Most recently was the excellent presentation of the Jaguar XKE 2+2 by our lovely owner Jerry and his excellent documentation of his long-lived cat. Late last year, we also watched the stunning Fiat Dino Spider, which ended up staying here in Denver! This time around, we'll highlight the other side of the coin, with a modern marvel and the benefits of running an auction with Cars and Bids. Join us for the Auction watch on the Mercedes-Benz S600!

While the classic Benz' have been the bread-and-butter models in the showroom, like the recently sold Mercedes 280SL, we've grown accustomed to the classic Mercedes selling methodology. That includes lots of time spent chatting and documenting the originality of everything from rivets to headlight notches. Still, our team can recognize when a car doesn't quite fit our showroom style. That's where the team over at Cars and Bids comes in.

While we have a dedicated fanbase around the United States, most of our clients tend towards more of the classics rather than the semi-modern Mercedes. For these cases, a larger auction site like Cars and Bids is excellent. Their worldwide audience has tastes in all sorts of makes and models, and their team was accommodating in getting this low-mileage monster listed quickly and adequately presented.

Our team would love the be the team to sell your car but, in some cases, we find that helping the car find the right eyes can be half the battle. When this Marvelous Mercedes came in, the showroom team just couldn't seem to find much traction with the model. Now that the auction is live, the Mercedes has been a fun experience for our showroom team to monitor the listing and make sure to accommodate any questions or concerns with the vehicle. While we are well versed in the Mecum, RM Sotheby and Bring a Trailer side of the auction world, Cars and Bids was a new venture for the team. After plenty of analysis, we felt the C&B team could best represent this low-mile Modern Merc. Be sure to watch along with the auction and wish the car well before it heads off to find a new home!
