Auction Watch - Fiat Spider 2400

Here at Farland Classic Restoration we always want to help build confidence in your classic. Whether it's a restoration here in the shop, a consignment from our showroom, or having our team help you find your next classic, we're always by your side. Today we'll be looking at a familiar face getting a moment in the spotlight. Join us as we cover the auction of the Fiat 2400 Spider.

If you've been following the blog you know we utilize sites like Bring A Trailer and Hagerty's Valuation Tool to keep up with market trends and watch where car values are headed. It can be a great way to highlight what similar chassis and cars are selling for. These sites have been incredibly useful as the market has risen increasingly over the past year. We currently have a familiar face on Bring a Trailer, sold by one of our local customers! The 1970 Fiat Dino 2400 Spider

We have a huge passion for what we do, but sometimes an owner is looking for a hands-on sale of their classic. This is where a place like Bring a Trailer can benefit owners ready to be ultra-hands-on throughout the entire sales process.

Here at the shop, we spend every day highlighting the nuance of these classics, from production dates to matching numbers, original paint, and ensuring cars are accurate. If Bring a Trailer is scratching your itch, be prepared to give out all this information and more. Very often, the comments section can make or break a sale. If one person halfway across the planet isn't 100% sure of your compression test, your sale could be dead in the water.

On the other hand, if you get a professional in the comments highlighting the accuracy and originality of your vehicle, it can help to be a massive bump in the sale. In short, these sales can be very hit or miss depending entirely on the online masses. Through our own experience with cars like the Audi RS2, we find that the seller needs to be online and ready to comment 24/7 on the auction page to clarify any questions that arise.

Getting back to the Fiat, this car is currently available over on the BAT site with just 6 days left on the auction. The car currently sits at just over $65,000. For a car Fiat only made a few hundred of, we can expect this classic to continue climbing before it's time up at BAT.
